US Government among attendees of Document Strategy Forum November 1-3
Some of the topics and presenters at this year's forum illustrate the CONVERGENCE and CHANGE mentioned and how the market is changing and the direction providers and clients are headed. Here are just a few, but take note of the closing keynote address at the end!
* CASE STUDY: US Department of State's Strategy for Documents going Mobile, presented by Thelma Furlong, Department of State (COMMENT: A key vertical for your company)
* Best Practices for Multi-Channel Customer Communications Effective, timely and relevant communication with customers is critical to an organization's success. Therefore, enterprises of today are looking to deliver messages across multiple channels in a personalized manner to maximize efficacy and impact. This session will provide best practices on how organizations should manage their content and messaging cohesively. Attendees will explore: How are best-in-class organizations managing their communications with customers? What are the financial returns that have been achieved by organizations that have implemented an effective customer communications strategy? How should an organization best approach a multi-channel marketing and messaging approach that integrates CCM technologies and social media? (COMMENT: example of Convergence and Change vis-a-vi social media and customer engagement)
* Going Beyond the Monthly Statement: Moving Consumers through the e-Channel; presented by Matt Kearney, CSG Systems.
* Do's and Don'ts: Ensuring Outsourcing Document Management and BPO Success presented by Kane Polakoff, Sourcecourp (now HOVSource mentioned in competitor section)
* Two Worlds Colliding or Merging- printing and mailing in a world embracing digital communications- Can mail even compete? Presented by Mike Porter, Print/Mail Consultants
* CLOSING KEYNOTE: The State of the Document Processing Services Industry 2011 NOTE: This session runs from 1:45pm-3:30pm
This special Closing Day Keynote will provide an overview of where the DPS industry is today and key trends affecting its development. Three distinct service segments — hosted repository, document output and managed print services (MPS) — continue to address the decline of paper and help organizations tame business processes by using the full spectrum of structured and unstructured content. Advances in consumer technology and stiff competition for declining paper volumes have pushed document output providers — which outsource commercial, transactional and marketing output — to record low price points, making in-house printing plants increasingly untenable as CFOs sniff out their true cost. The keynote will review how the industry will address the decline of paper through multi-channel extensions, development of “corporate solutions” and support of more complete business processes. Presenter: Craig Le Clair, Forrester Research (COMMENT: Opportunity for "enterprise outsourcing" deals that independent reps and VARs can not afford to go after, nor know how to approach.)
